I write about sport, politics and industry. Journalism was my passion at school. I used to pour over the sport pages, cut out league tables and practice writing match reports – and 15 years on I am still expanding my boundaries in the media. Whether it’s interviewing elite sport stars, reviewing award-winning books, analysing political data or producing fresh marketing strategies for clients, writing and editing is what I do best. That’s why, since 2012, I have developed meaningful and profitable relationships with publications and companies, offering my services to clients who match my values of hard work, positivity and great content. For me it’s all about the audience and how to provide the best stories possible to a readership on a global scale.
My work has appeared in the i newspaper, Daily Express, Daily Mail, UEFA.com, Daily Mirror, Daily Star and more. I am the English editor for F.C. Copenhagen, a tipster for Bookies.com, a political analyst for Gambling.com and occasionally BBC Radio 5Live’s Danish football expert.
I worked at the Daily Express for five years, where I eventually became deputy online sports editor and developed my core understanding in online journalism and publishing. But I always planned to go freelance, so in 2019 I left the office for the last time and went to work for myself.
I now work from my home office in Brighton and thrive on a steady work/life balance that suits me and my clients. My wife Vic and I moved here in the summer of 2020 when coronavirus lockdown lifted just enough to dash down and rent a flat. We have plenty of house plants but sadly no cat yet.
I launched my first company - Short Story Ltd - to help businesses deliver their narrative to the clients that matter most to them.
I provide content for marketing and online search to high-profile clients such as Paddy Power, Unibet, Resulta and Catena Media, while chasing the next big story for newspapers. My experience working at the Daily Express saw the website grow ten-fold while hitting regular KPIs, with 101million impressions coming from my fingers alone. I am proud to be channeling this knowledge into the wider industry to help shape and guide content from around the world.
